Perpetual Adoration

ONE HOUR WITH JESUS

In the Garden of Gethsemani, before His crucifixion, Jesus asked His Apostles, “Could you not keep watch with me for one hour?” Spending one hour with Jesus thus became a tradition in the Church.

Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “The time you spend with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament will be the best and most profitable time you will ever spend here on Earth.”

St. Mary Parish has had a Perpetual Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament for over 17 years. Many graces and blessings are bestowed upon those who spend time with Him outside of Mass. For our parish to continue this most sacred practice, we need more adorers that would be willing to take a regular time slot or substitute adorers that would be able to fill in when needed.

At this time we have available: Tues Sunday 12 AM – 2 AM
We also need substitute adorers for all days and times throughout the week.

Not sure of the early morning hours or making an hour a week commitment?
Consider a rotating schedule with family or friends or try substituting in the early morning for possibly a month. Many have found the early morning hours to be the most grace-filled times to be in the presence of Jesus to grow in their love for the Eucharist.
